From a very young age, Tzofiya would always hear from her father, “To the North the Blight, and from there, our enemies come. Our enemies are strong. And we are all that stands in the way of this evil from spreading. That is why we take up our swords and fight, little one. It is why we must be strong.”
The Kenaz family had a proud tradition of sending the eldest son into the Blight, to become some of the elite Blight Scouts of Arafel. However, after a lifetime of service, Yonitan Kenaz and his wife had produced no sons to continue the noble tradition, only a few daughters – the eldest of which was Tzofiya.
Determined to become the scout her family was renowned for raising, she took the blade early and was trained by her father. Once becoming seventeen, she donned her armor and rode off with the Blight scouts, for the first time, riding into the Blight. That was three years ago.
Now, Tzofiya is not as well-seasoned a fighter as some of the others in her unit, but has proven herself to be a very useful asset to her team. But, she lives by the mantra of her people: "Almost dead yesterday, maybe dead tomorrow, but alive, gloriously alive, today”.
